Job Description:

  • The Mental Health Clinician will provide high level clinical services, consultation and leadership to the headspace team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services in accordance with the headspace model and utilise evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain case records in a comprehensive and factual format that clearly documents activities undertaken.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead to manage referrals, intake, waiting lists and case allocations.
  • Supervise the delivery of clinical services by mental health professionals and provide expert clinical care for clients with a range of mental health presentations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Full and current professional registration to practice as an Allied Health Professional (AHP) or Psychiatrist from a relevant peak professional body.
  • Demonstrated experience in working clinically with young people with mild to moderate mental health issues within a short-term intervention program.
  • Proven ability to work with mixed modality of therapeutic approaches.
  • Ability to engage and work effectively with vulnerable young people and their families.

About the Opportunity:

  • This role is based at headspace Esperance and will involve providing advanced clinical services to young people and their families.
  • Key clinical tasks of this role include maintaining case records, working closely with the Clinical Lead, and supervising the delivery of clinical services.

What to Expect:

  • Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check, Working With Children card, Current C or A class driver's license, First Aid Certificate, and suitable work referees.
