About the RoleThe Academic Leader will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing effective learning programs for students with diverse learning difficulties and gaps.
- Contributing to school objectives and planning, ensuring alignment with educational goals.
- Maintaining a positive school environment that promotes student well-being and success.
- Participating in accountability processes, including reporting, personal learning plans, and NCCD requirements.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to drive academic excellence.
- Supporting daily school operations, including bus runs.
This is a continuing, full-time position, commencing on January 21, 2025.
Key RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A deep understanding of and commitment to Catholic educational values in the Edmund Rice tradition.
- Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
- A valid driver's license.
- Relevant qualifications and skills, including experience in teaching diverse student groups.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement inclusive learning choices that meet varied student needs.
- Experience in curriculum differentiation and working with at-risk youth.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents.
- A commitment to critical reflection and participation in EREA's Four Principles of operation: respect, safety, honesty, and participation.
