Our Early Learning Centre is a vibrant community of educators dedicated to providing high-quality care and tailored education for children from birth to school age.

We are an incorporated, not-for-profit organisation that reinvests surplus funds into the centre to benefit the children.

The centre is a social enterprise of a well-known not-for-profit organisation.

The Role

The Children's Services Educator plays a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of the children at our centre.

This includes:

  • Nurturing and guiding children from birth through to school age.
  • Working with children individually or in groups to support growth and learning.
  • Implementing activities to assist children to flourish.
  • Following policy and approaching behaviour guidance positively with children.

About You

You are a passionate educator who is committed to early learning.

Your positive attitude and ability to support children's learning will be key to your success in this role.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Diploma in Children's Services.
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate.
  • Proven ability to interact with children in a positive, sensitive, and respectful manner.
  • Ability to work with other team members in the inclusion, support, and care of all children.
  • Knowledge of current childcare practices and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Experience interacting with groups of children up to 6 years of age.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
