Nursing Instructor - First Nations Program

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of nursing theory and practice, as well as excellent presentation and leadership skills.

  • Lecture, teach, assess and mark nursing students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessments.
  • Teach lecture and tutorial classes.
  • Develop the First Nations units for Diploma, Bachelor and Master's level of Nursing courses.
  • Advise on the suitability of other units from a First Nations perspective, ensuring culturally appropriate courses.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of support services and systems for First Nation students, to ensure their successful navigation of courses.
  • Occasionally coordinate and/or lead activities of other staff teaching in the same discipline.
  • Engage in teaching evaluations, maintaining professional development and pursuing new teaching methodologies and strategies.
  • Identify and monitor students at risk of failing, and organize necessary support efforts.
  • Maintain high professional and ethical conduct, including high standards of self-management, resilience and collaborative behaviors.
