Occupational Medicine Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Medicine Specialist to join our team part-time in Launceston. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to build and strengthen relationships with clients in the region.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Family Medicine: Provide high-quality medical services to patients, encompassing routine check-ups and health advice.
  • Men's & Women's Health: Offer specialist care for men's and women's health issues, including chronic disease management and immunisations.
  • Occupational Health Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of employees' health and fitness for work, including occupational health checks and return-to-work programs.
  • Acute Injury Treatment and Management: Diagnose and treat acute injuries, such as sprains and strains, and provide guidance on prevention and rehabilitation.
  • Skin Screening: Perform skin checks to identify any potential skin cancers or other skin conditions.
  • Chronic Disease Management: Work closely with patients to manage chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, and asthma.
Requirements:
  • Full registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
  • Eligibility to access, refer and request provider number
  • A strong commitment to providing excellent health services, including preparation of high-quality medical assessments
  • Desirable: Hold a Fellowship of Australian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (FAFOEM) or equivalent qualification
