About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our Risk and Compliance organization at Till Payments, a division of Nuvei. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the eligibility of clients and partners, adhering to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of client and partner applications to ensure compliance with department SLAs.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation and application of card brand network rules to prevent ineligible merchant businesses from receiving processing accounts.
  • Communicate decisions and data needs effectively with sales teams and business partners.
  • Participate in ongoing periodic reviews of larger exposure merchant accounts to mitigate risks to Till Payments.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Finance.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Credit Analyst role or similar in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
