Key Job Responsibilities

This role is for an experienced engineer who will work on a 40m Private/Charter yacht operating twin MTU engines and twin Northern Lights generators.

The vessel is based in Queensland, with a rotation between the Gold Coast and Whitsundays. A high level of technical aptitude and knowledge of AMSA survey requirements are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold a Class 3 Chief Engineer certification.
  • Be available for 6 weeks on/off rotations, or 4 weeks on/off.
  • Work on preventative maintenance and have a strong understanding of engine operations.

Requirements:

  • A Class 3 Chief Engineer certification is required.
  • Availability for 6 weeks on/off rotations, or 4 weeks on/off.
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge of AMSA survey requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Working on a 40m Private/Charter yacht.
  • Rotating between the Gold Coast and Whitsundays.
  • Sharing cabin and bathroom with the crew.
