We are seeking a highly skilled Sheetmetal / Fabricator to join our team at Frontline Construction Australia. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining shearing, punching, and forming machines, cutting, forming, and joining sheet metal to fabricate parts, inspecting and checking finished parts for quality, and installing or repairing products made from sheet metal.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain shearing, punching, and forming machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components.
- Cut, form, and join sheet metal to fabricate parts for custom timber stairs.
- Inspect and check finished parts for quality and accuracy.
- Install or repair products made from sheet metal, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine the specific requirements of a job and ensure accurate fabrication.
- Formal qualifications in the trade and an apprenticeship in Australia.
- At least 10 years of experience in Sheetmetal / Fabrication.
- MIG experience is essential, with TIG experience also highly desirable.
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively to a high degree of detail and quality.
- Previous experience working across multiple industries is highly advantageous.
