Program Governance and Coordination Role

As a Program Coordinator, you will provide strategic support to the Program Management Office (PMO) for large-scale projects. This role requires an organized and experienced individual to drive program planning, execution, and governance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in program coordination within transformation projects, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a strong ability to navigate complex workstreams and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed program plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Act as a central point of contact for program stakeholders, facilitating effective communication, managing expectations, and providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on program delivery.
  • Support resource planning and allocation across workstreams, ensuring optimal utilization and addressing capacity constraints.
  • Assist in budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting to ensure the program remains within scope.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive status reports, dashboards, and documentation for senior leadership and governance bodies.
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure deliverables meet organizational and stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the PMO and program delivery practices.

Requirements:

  • 10 years' experience working within a project management discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in program or project coordination, preferably within a consulting or corporate environment.
  • Certification in Project Management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a PMO role within large, complex programs, including demonstrated leadership in driving program success.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Expert in MS Office Suite and collaboration tools.
  • Proven experience in producing high-quality project communications and presentations.
