Principal Rail Infrastructure Specialist

The Principal Spatial Sciences Officer is a critical role that requires a motivated and detail-focused professional who can lead the delivery and integration of Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIS&T) across major rail projects.
This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your spatial expertise to complex infrastructure projects, contributing to shaping the future of Queensland's rail network. You will provide expert advice, analysis, and data management to support major rail project delivery, working closely with technical specialists, project teams, and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in GIS&T leadership, data governance, and geospatial solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects. They will also possess strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, ensuring the quality, integrity, and accessibility of geospatial data to support project planning and delivery.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the delivery and integration of RIDO's ESRI Enterprise suite and spatial services across major rail projects.
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and accessibility of geospatial data to support project planning and delivery.
- Provide expert strategic advice on complex spatial challenges to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of policies, standards, and innovative solutions in Geographic Information Science and Technology.
- Extensive experience in GIS&T leadership, data governance, and geospatial solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Ability to guide data-driven decision-making across planning, design, and construction.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
