AV Field Service Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical support staff, you will be responsible for providing on-site service and support to customers at various locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance visits to ensure the stability and optimal performance of client-based systems.
- Clean and maintain AV equipment, including camera lenses, monitors, and equipment fans.
- Accurately complete job documentation as needed to ensure efficient communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot complex video matrices, projectors, displays, audio DSPs, and control systems to restore functionality and deliver world-class customer service.
- Setup and troubleshoot video codecs and video teleconferencing systems to facilitate seamless communication.
- Install and update control programs (AMX / Crestron/Firmware) using field installation methods.
- Provide technical support for networked devices (Routers, IP Protocols, etc.) to ensure efficient data transmission.
- Perform service tasks in a timely and quality-conscious manner, including cable pulling, connector installation, projector mounting, and ceiling mount hanging.
- Train and support next-level service technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Provide end-user client training as needed to ensure effective system usage.
- Comply with OSHA standards for all phases of the job to ensure a safe working environment.
- Travel to various job sites as required to provide on-site support and service.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in reading electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with AV equipment and its maintenance requirements.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding service tasks.
- Flexibility to travel to various job sites as required.
