Land Development Specialist

Our organisation is seeking an experienced Land Development Specialist to join our team in shaping the public domain of a sustainable city over the next 25 years.

The role involves managing key projects that accommodate growth, providing specialist landscape design and urban design input into our broader town centre renewal program, and working on tier one playgrounds across the area.

As part of this wider role, you will work within a team that provides quality design and project development services for a range of town centres, urban planning, recreation, and bushland/natural area projects within the Local Government Area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a framework and detailed concept designs for key parklands and urban spaces as part of the CBD Renewal Program.
  • Manage special projects arising from the Liveable Centres Program.
  • Prepare detailed designs and cost estimates for recreational, open space and landscape projects.
  • Ensure all designs meet acceptable professional standards.
  • Participate in community consultation processes and prepare concept design, detailed design, tender documentation and review of environmental factors.
  • Develop and document landscape master plans suitable for public exhibition.
  • Provide technical advisory service to other departments of our organisation on environmental and landscape matters.
  • Prepare project briefs, programs, deliverables and contract documentation for external consultants as required.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or an equivalent related design field.
  • Current Class C Driver's license.
  • White Card.
  • Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience in Landscape Architecture.
  • High-level skills and experience in design and documentation using AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated high-quality written, graphic and verbal communication skills.
