Job Description:

The role of Nurse Unit Manager requires exceptional leadership skills to oversee the Department of Emergency Medicine, providing efficient and effective care to patients. The incumbent will coordinate clinical, management, education, and nursing research functions within the department, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership to the emergency medicine team, promoting a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
  • Ensures the efficient provision of care based on clinical standards and best practice principles.
  • Leads and manages the coordination of overall patient care, allocating human, material, and financial resources effectively.
  • Provides leadership in contemporary nursing practice, promoting innovation and change.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
