We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our team in Innisfail, Queensland. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality primary health care services to our clients. This includes conducting clinic consultations, outreach clinics, and home visits. You will also respond to medical/health problems presented by patients, provide health promotion and preventative health care advice, and conduct case conferences with relevant employees and service providers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage your own work and meet deadlines. You will also need to be able to work autonomously, exercise initiative, and as a collaborative team member in a multidisciplinary team. Experience working in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services is desirable.

Requirements
  • Qualification as a General Practitioner and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current registration with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM)
  • Experience providing General Practitioner services in primary health care
  • Experience in the delivery of comprehensive primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (desirable)
