Job Opportunity:

A significant opportunity exists for an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join a team of Emergency Medicine Specialists, CMOs, VMOs, and nursing staff at a 99-bed facility serving a referral community of almost 60,000.

The Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise and experience in Emergency Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the medical and nursing teams, and contributing to the development of the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing emergency medical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Working collaboratively with the medical and nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Contributing to the development of the Emergency Department, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and providing education and training to junior staff
  • Meeting the requirements for registration with AHPRA and holding or being eligible for FACEM

Requirements:

  • Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
  • Hold or be eligible for FACEM
  • Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine at a Consultant Level
  • ACEM trainee soon to obtain FACEM
  • IMGs who are about to lodge their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, or awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable
