About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at Skilled Medical. As a VMO - Emergency Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of emergency specialists, and promoting seamless continuity of care between inpatient and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and daily clinical supervision in the Emergency Department
  • Lead a team of emergency specialists to deliver excellence in clinical care
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote continuity of care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in on-call rosters and respond to emergencies in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist (Emergency Medicine)
  • Recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine at the role delineation of the service
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership
  • Effective clinical communication skills through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement
