Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity

This is an exciting temporary full-time position with a varied caseload, offering rotations through acute, inpatient rehabilitation and sub-acute outreach services. The role will provide opportunities for flexible working hours and days, as well as rotation amongst Level 1/2 roles.

About the Role

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing occupational therapy assessment and treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team. This will include rotating through acute, inpatient rehabilitation and sub-acute outreach services, contributing to planning and implementing discharge and community reintegration strategies, participating in occasional weekend rosters as required, and engaging with residents of Bathurst and surrounding communities to support regional health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment in accordance with professional standards and guidelines.
  • Rotate through various settings, including acute, inpatient rehabilitation and sub-acute outreach services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Participate in interprofessional teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, families and carers to promote effective communication and collaboration.
