Petbarn Sales Associate

Petbarn, Australasia's leading pet specialty retailer, is seeking a Sales Associate to work on a casual basis in the lead up to Christmas in our Palmerston store. This role has the potential to be ongoing.

We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual with strong merchandising skills and a real customer service focus. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience working with a high volume, disciplined retailer and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Merchandising and maintaining store displays
  • Providing exceptional customer service and making sales
  • Lifting heavy items, such as bags of dog food
  • Working unsupervised and being flexible with working days and hours
  • Contributing to a team environment and achieving sales results

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in a retail environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items
