Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team in South East Queensland. As a key member of our Water Resources team, you will be responsible for delivering flood risk management, flood modelling and hydrology/hydraulic assessment support, while focusing on technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver flood risk management, flood modelling and hydrology/hydraulic assessment support
  • Check and review project outputs
  • Prepare tenders and proposals
  • Collaborate with a large number of professionals in a range of geographies and build relationships with internal and external clients across multiple sectors
  • Coach a range of junior professionals, fostering the growth and development of the team

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering & RPEQ / CPEng (highly regarded)
  • Strong client focus, high level of motivation and dedication and the ability work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Experience or interest in project management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and communicate with various stakeholders
  • Ideally, demonstrated experience with water resource modelling and design packages such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), RORB, XPRAFTS, URBS, 12d, MUSIC, GoldSim, IQQM, Source etc.
  • Good working knowledge of ARR 2019, TMR Drainage Manual, and QUDM
