Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Data Governance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned expert in data privacy, governance, and risk management to drive the development and implementation of our AI and data governance frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). They will also have hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and managing data quality and lifecycle management.

This role requires excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit. The successful candidate will be able to translate complex ideas into practical advice and partner with teams across the business to embed a 'Privacy-by-Design' culture.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in data privacy, data governance, or technology risk.
  • A strong, practical understanding of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
  • Hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
  • An understanding of data management principles, including data quality and lifecycle management.
  • A solid grasp of AI concepts (like machine learning and generative AI) and their associated privacy challenges.
