Cellar and Vineyard Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cellar and Vineyard Assistant to support our wine estate's operations. This hands-on role involves assisting with grape processing, fermentation monitoring, barrel work, and bottling, as well as general vineyard maintenance such as pruning, mulching, and equipment upkeep.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Previous experience in the industry is essential, and relevant qualifications are a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with grape harvesting, fermentation, and winemaking processes
  • Support vineyard maintenance tasks such as pruning, mulching, and equipment upkeep
  • Monitor and record temperature and humidity levels in the cellar
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Passion for wine and the Hunter Valley wine industry
  • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Driver Licence (Class C) required, Forklift Licence preferred
  • Previous experience essential and relevant qualifications a bonus
