Your Opportunity

Our Buildings team in Sydney is seeking a highly skilled Principal or Technical Director Civil Engineer to lead our civil engineering design and documentation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, winning new projects, and leading large proposals.

As a civil engineer in the buildings space, you will work on significant urban development, public realm, and precinct-type projects that have a lasting impact on communities. With a focus on social and environmental outcomes, our team collaborates across various sectors, including arts and culture, commercial, civic, education, transport, defence, and sports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client management, proposal development, and project leadership
  • Managing civil engineering design and documentation, including bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage, and utilities coordination
  • Leading design coordination with architects, landscape architects, and other engineering disciplines
  • Coordinating project technical reviews and internal QA processes
  • Opportunities for project management, bid support, and line management responsibilities

About You

  • Relevant qualification in civil engineering or civil design
  • Civil design experience on buildings, urban development, or land development projects
  • Civil design technical background and familiarity with relevant design guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes
  • Proficiency in civil design software tools, such as 12d, Civil 3d, DRAINS, MUSIC, and AutoCAD
