Civil Construction Worker Job Opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Worker to join our Infrastructure Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing laboring duties associated with roads and drainage maintenance and construction in our region.

As a key member of our team, you will be working effectively with minimal supervision, operating plant and trucks in accordance with manufacturer requirements and Workplace Health and Safety legislation.

You will also be responsible for identifying plant or truck defects, completing defect identification forms accurately, and carrying out general laboring duties including vegetation control, road maintenance and construction drainage activities, concrete works, and small plant operation.

Additionally, you will implement traffic management requirements, including traffic guidance schemes and traffic management plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Class MR or HR/HC Driver's licence (or willingness to obtain)
  • General Construction Safety Induction (White card)
  • Traffic Control (or willingness to obtain)
  • Traffic Management Implementation (or willingness to obtain)
  • Agriculture Chemical Distribution and Control (or willingness to obtain)
  • Provide First aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
  • High Risk licence Forklift
  • Operational Competency in Plant Operation for Roller, Backhoe, Grader, Bobcat (Skid Steer)
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction (or willingness to obtain)
