Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter to join our service department in Toowoomba. This permanent full-time role will focus on all aspects of heavy diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment fitting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy diesel mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and repairs on heavy diesel engines and associated equipment.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality work standards.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualifications - a minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • A strong commitment to safety and assurance of number one priority.
  • Experience and skillset in heavy diesel mechanics and field service fitting, with demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge of construction equipment, particularly Hitachi equipment.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Analytical thinking skills to navigate complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services with minimal rework.
  • Autonomous productivity and initiative to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively, delivering quality outcomes to ensure total customer satisfaction.
