Our Service Team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service Fitter to join our crew. This will be a full-time, permanent role based in Toowoomba.

About the Role

  • We are seeking a skilled Field Service Fitter to diagnose, maintain, and repair various construction and mining equipment products.
  • You will conduct all repairs and maintenance jobs according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Your paperwork skills are essential – you must complete and submit relevant documents.
  • You will ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Support for the Hitachi range is critical, including mini excavators and large mining machines.
  • You will work independently to complete preventative maintenance work and respond to breakdowns in the field and workshop.
  • Collaboration with the team during mine machinery shutdowns is vital to minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • A proactive commitment to safety is paramount – you must exercise caution at all times.
  • Your personal drive should focus on strengthening relationships with a positive attitude and continuous improvement.
  • You should be able to identify opportunities for improvement and navigate complex technical issues.
  • A minimum Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline is required.
  • Heavy Diesel mechanics and field service fitters with OEM equipment experience are preferred.
  • You must plan work efficiently, understand customer needs, and deliver quality outcomes.
