Job Overview

Laminex Australia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team in Ballarat. This role involves coordinating and planning maintenance activities across our sites, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will lead the planning and scheduling of corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, liaising with site maintenance staff, operations, and contractors.
  • They will prepare maintenance plans for review and agreement with maintenance and operations teams, ensuring alignment with production planning requirements.
  • This includes identifying necessary work instructions, parts, tools, labour, and equipment for each job.
  • The individual must ensure timely completion of regulatory maintenance activities, including collecting and reviewing service reports and compliance documentation.
  • They will track planned vs. actual performance in work order management, including schedule compliance.
  • A key aspect of this role is conducting formal planning meetings with all stakeholders.
  • The selected candidate will promote a safe workplace and foster a culture of safety and compliance.

Requirements

  • A strong organisational mindset and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in planning and leading maintenance activities, preferably within the manufacturing industry, is highly desirable.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and work within defined timeframes is required.
  • The individual should have an understanding of governance and protocols related to purchasing, issuing, and maintaining spare parts inventory.
  • Familiarity with maintenance regulatory requirements is also necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a sound understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) like MEX or similar is expected.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and workplace diversity is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
