Job Title: Renal Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a seasoned occupational therapist to provide expert care services to patients with chronic kidney disease.

This role involves collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

The successful candidate will work on pre-home dialysis assessments, providing support to patients undergoing dialysis or living with Chronic Kidney Disease.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for peritoneal dialysis and haemodialysis.
  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support patients in maintaining their preferred dialysis modality.
  • Assess and intervene with nephrology patients, including symptom management for CKD patients attending outpatient clinics or dialysis units.

Requirements:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Fully registered as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant regulatory agency.
  • Eligible for membership with OT Australia.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • A current National Police Check and Working with Children Check VIC.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience or willingness to learn about chronic health conditions.
  • Sound working knowledge of community services.
  • Commitment to life-long learning.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
