About the Role

As a seasoned Senior Developer with extensive experience in Python and software engineering, you will play a pivotal role in building new capabilities and enhancing code maintainability within our esteemed Large Federal Government Client project. This is a long-term contract opportunity with an initial term of 12 months and two 12-month extension options, contingent upon funding approval.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of technical functionality to specifications.
  • Coding: Write high-quality code to meet technical requirements.
  • Code Quality: Implement best practice principles for code development.
  • Software Engineering: Develop technical artefacts to support software engineering efforts.
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated expertise in software engineering best practices.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing developer teams.
  • Proficiency in developing applications using Python.
  • Familiarity with implementing and maintaining CI/CD solutions.
  • Experience in designing and developing distributed systems.
  • Linux container expertise (desirable).
  • Cloud IaaS environment knowledge, preferably AWS (desirable).
Submission Requirements

This engagement offers a competitive salary, tailored to your skills and experience. Estimated annual salary: $120,000-$180,000 AUD. Initial term: 12 months, with two 12-month extension options.
