We are seeking a dedicated Tenancy Officer to join our Housing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective tenancy management of the whole tenancy process from waiting list management to end of tenancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, accurate and consistent tenancy information to tenants and stakeholders.
  • Maintain knowledge of housing options available to people who are homeless or in housing stress.
  • Source suitable tenants for vacant properties.
  • Action leases, bonds, tenant charges, inspections, breach of tenancy notices, neighbour complaints, tenancy tribunal hearings and the end of tenancy process.
  • Liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Develop strong working relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
  • Promote our housing services positively.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within tenancy / property management is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience working within Community Services is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of current Residential Tenancy legislation is desirable.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and complexity.
