Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service, including outpatient consultations and inpatient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings, and provide advice to General Practitioners and other clinicians as required.
- Supervise and teach registrars, junior doctors, and medical students, and contribute to the development of clinical pathways and early discharge procedures.
- Document relevant clinical information clearly, concisely, accurately, and appropriately, and ensure appropriate handover of patients as needed.
- Role model desired standards of behaviour, promoting a positive attitude, enthusiasm, respect, and support of other staff, effective communication, and ethical decision making.
- Provision of services to patients in accordance with the standards of the discipline and the ethics of the profession, and that are consistent with the Clinical Services Capability Framework of the relevant facilities within the Health Service.
- Specific duties may involve ward rounds, outpatient services, procedural work, multidisciplinary team meetings, and collaboration with other medical teams or other professional streams.
