About the Role:
The Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist in Psychiatry to join their team. As a key member of the mental health service, you will provide advanced clinical care to individuals with psychiatric, alcohol and other drug, emotional and/or behavioural disturbances.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment and treatment services to individuals in inpatient and community settings.
- Support ongoing education within the mental health service through supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and medical students.
Requirements:
- Mandatory possession of a medicine degree from a registered tertiary institution.
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia with Specialist registration in Psychiatry or appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia to practise in the specialist position.
- Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship via the substantial comparability pathway of the Royal Australian College and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
Package:
Total remuneration value of up to $470,780 (L24) is comprised of a salary between $204,206 - $237,196 (L18-L24).
Total remuneration value of up to $514,452 (L27) is comprised of a salary between $244,201 - $258,910 (L25-L27).
