Nurse Consultant HIV Liaison Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Consultant to join our team at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). As a Nurse Consultant HIV Liaison, you will play a critical role in delivering specialized nursing care to clients living with HIV.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care and coordination to clients living with HIV, including newly diagnosed individuals and those with long-standing conditions.
- Develop and implement care plans that address the unique needs of clients living with HIV, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with inpatient clinical teams to provide education and support on HIV management and treatment plans.
- Lead and mentor nursing staff to deliver high-quality care and promote a culture of excellence within the CALHN Infectious Diseases Unit.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nurse Consultant who embodies the following key attributes:
- Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate.
- Leadership Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities, with a knack for fostering teamwork and staff development.
- Experience: At least 3 years post-registration in a relevant clinical area, with proven competence in care coordination for people living with HIV or other infectious diseases.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant legislation, safety standards, and contemporary nursing practices, particularly in diverse and vulnerable populations.
