Job Description:

Sustainability professionals are at the forefront of delivering impactful infrastructure projects through strategic sustainability integration. As a Sustainability Consultant, your primary responsibility will be supporting projects pursuing IS ratings while working closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to shape future-ready solutions.

The Opportunity

  • Support the delivery of Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) ratings across transport, energy, and water projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainability across all project stages
  • Author and review technical reports covering topics like circular economy, carbon, water, and social impact
  • Represent the organization in external meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and support the development of junior team members

Requirements:

A degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field is required for this role. Additionally, minimum 4 years' experience in infrastructure sustainability consulting, with IS rating scheme knowledge essential.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong written communication skills to explain complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of decarbonisation policy, climate risk assessment, and sustainability-related legislation in Queensland and Australia
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership
