Join our dynamic team as a Sustainability Specialist and be instrumental in driving high-performance environmental management on major civil infrastructure projects.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation of environmental systems, promoting awareness, and driving results. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise on significant environmental aspects, manage multiple environmental consultants, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development, maintenance, and ongoing support of our Environment and Sustainability Management plan, processes, and system elements
  • Conducting reviews of onsite implementation of environmental systems and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Providing expert advice on environmental aspects such as erosion and sediment control, ecology, waste management, noise, and vibration
  • Managing environmental permits and approvals, and ensuring legal compliance requirements are met
  • Developing strong relationships with regulatory authorities, clients, and community stakeholders to promote and gain support for our environmental management efforts
  • Educating the project team on contract, legal, and company environmental requirements
  • Recording all relevant environmental data and compiling reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring that projects comply with company HSEQ systems, policies, standards, and procedures

You'll have:

  • 6+ years of industry experience in construction delivery on major civil projects in the Environmental field
  • Possession of relevant qualifications in environmental science or a related discipline
  • Experience working on TMR projects and adherence to their environmental requirements
  • Proven experience with working towards the Infrastructure Sustainability rating scheme
