About the Role

We are seeking a talented Ecologist to contribute to our diverse portfolio of natural resource management and infrastructure projects in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert ecological advice on infrastructure and natural resource management projects.
  • Conduct desktop and field-based ecological surveys and impact assessments, focusing on terrestrial ecosystems, flora, fauna, biodiversity, and habitat.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, environmental analyses, and mapping outputs.
  • Undertake ecological research and fieldwork as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver integrated environmental work packages.
Requirements
  • A degree in Ecology, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field is essential.
  • Strong identification skills in Queensland flora, fauna, and ecological communities are required.
  • At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in consulting, construction, or regulatory environments is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Queensland Regional Ecosystem and Biocondition frameworks is a plus.
  • GIS and field mapping tool experience; proficiency in MS Office are expected.
  • Solid understanding of environmental legislation and approvals processes at all levels of government is mandatory.
