
Senior Inventory Manager

About the Role:
The Merchandise Planner plays a key role in driving sales and inventory plans that meet financial targets and company objectives. This involves focused study of business trends, monitoring performance data, and collaborating with the buying team to evaluate existing ranges' financial performance.
This position supports the development and adherence to stock and ranging processes, working closely with Commercial and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecast sales and develop inventory targets
- Analyse historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities
- Work with buying and inventory teams to build OTB targets and management tools
- Establish product life cycle management tools to reduce aged and excess inventory
- Lead effective annual range reviews to achieve company financial targets
- Lead monthly business review to identify opportunities for sales improvement
- Accurate and timely management of forecasting processes
- Identify opportunities for seasonal and promotional stock pushes
- Provide insightful reports on replenishment performance
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience in planning roles
- Proven experience developing effective processes
- Retail/FMCG environment experience
- Solution-focused individual
- Strong Excel skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
