Job Title: Property Specialist

About Our Organization

We are the primary provider of fire, rescue and emergency management programs and services throughout a large Australian state.

The department encompasses various services, including the Fire Service, disaster management, the Rural Fire Service and the Emergency Service, as well as supporting other volunteer groups providing emergency response to residents.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Offer property and leasing support to operational teams.
  • Main Accountabilities
    • Negotiate new and renew existing leasing agreements in line with relevant laws.
    • Conduct property-related due diligence for land acquisitions and provide guidance on leasing procedures.
    • Liaise with internal and external clients and stakeholders to ensure responsive property and leasing services.
    • Assist in preparing reports, briefings, correspondence and update registers relevant to leasing and property matters.
    • E nsure work practices align with government requirements and relevant guidelines, policies and legislation.
    • Participate in whole-of-government meetings and focus groups to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Prior experience in property management and leasing transactions.
  • Leadership Competencies for Queensland behavioral profiles.
