Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our team at Saké Restaurant & Bar. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for engaging in general or specialized cooking duties, ensuring compliance with WH&S procedures, and supporting the sous chef and head chef with menu planning and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, adhering to menu specifications and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Support the sous chef and head chef in planning menus, estimating food and labor costs, and ordering food supplies.
  • Train junior chefs on WH&S procedures and kitchen protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth and efficient service.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position or as a Commis, Demi Chef, or Cook.
  • Availability for a 7-day rotating roster, with hours shared depending on availability.
