About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Executive Culinary Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. As our lead chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating and executing our menu, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and taste. You will work closely with our kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient operation, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast items, sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts.

• Develop and update menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection for our customers.

• Supervise kitchen staff, including training new employees, delegating tasks, and maintaining a productive work environment.

• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed, ensuring minimal waste and optimal stock levels.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and storage areas, adhering to Villa77's high standards.

• Collaborate with owners on menu planning for weekly and seasonal specials, driving innovation and creativity in our culinary offerings.

• Uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and presentation to our customers, consistently exceeding their expectations.

About You:

• Proven experience as a chef in a similar role, preferably in a café or restaurant environment.

• Culinary certification or relevant training from a recognised institution.

• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for creating delicious experiences.

• Flexibility to work across a 7-day week, supporting the needs of our business.
