Project Manager Job

Job Description:

This is a fixed term, full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will work under the broad direction of the Chief Executive to deliver high-level project support and implement projects aligned with the Directorate's strategic policy agenda.

The Role:

The Project Manager will lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and active engagement with key internal and external stakeholders. They will coordinate activities to ensure adherence to policies, legislation, and business functions, while managing risks, resolving issues, and supporting meetings and negotiations.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and expertise in project management and delivery, together with organisational skills and the ability to plan, coordinate, and be responsible for several concurrent project activities while working in an environment subject to strict timeframes and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-level project support and implement projects aligned with the Directorate's strategic policy agenda
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate activities to ensure adherence to policies, legislation, and business functions
  • Manage risks, resolve issues, and support meetings and negotiations

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in project management and delivery
  • Organisational skills and the ability to plan, coordinate, and be responsible for several concurrent project activities
  • High-level strategic, conceptual, analytical, and creative skills
  • Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with diverse backgrounds
  • Proven capacity to effectively model agile, flexible, and innovative work practices
