Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Community Centre team at Our Place Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing leadership and guidance to staff and service users, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide orientation, training, and work direction to staff and service users
  • Assist the Community Centre Manager and Site Supervisor in planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the provision of Community Centre services
  • Liaise with other departments and agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Act as an advocate for service users, resolving difficult or sensitive issues and promoting their rights and interests
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for service users
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Perform administrative duties, including scheduling, incident reporting, and associated paperwork
Requirements
  • Diploma in a related human or social services field
  • Two years of recent related experience, including one year of supervisory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to problem-solve and deal with conflict effectively
  • Knowledge of laws and legislation affecting vulnerable populations
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 11am to 7pm. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on providing high-quality services to our clients.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $29.85 to $34.26 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package available after completion of the probationary period.
