Job Opportunity: Manager, Preventative Inspections

This permanent position is perfect for an experienced leader who excels in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will manage a team of building and plumbing inspectors to deliver proactive inspections that ensure regulatory compliance and consumer protection.

The Manager, Preventative Inspections reports directly to the Head of Inspectorate and is responsible for workforce planning, prioritization, and delegation.

In this role, you will be conducting pre-occupancy inspections informed by operational intelligence to minimize impact on consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead geographically dispersed teams of field-based inspectors to perform audits and inspections.
  • Design, lead, and deliver audit programs in a regulatory environment or demonstrate experience in compliance and enforcement operations.
  • Produce high-level technical correspondence, briefs, and reports in line with relevant legislation and participate in working groups to provide authoritative technical advice.
  • Develop beneficial partnerships with industry stakeholders and technical specialists through technical knowledge sharing within regulatory requirements.
