About the Role
The successful candidate will primarily focus on advising clients on defendant personal injury and general liability cases, which include complex and sensitive historical abuse claims. Our team frequently represents clients in the District Court and Supreme Court of Western Australia.
This position offers substantial hands-on experience and opportunities for professional growth while working with prestigious clients, including leading insurers in Australia.
Qualifications and Experience
We invite applications from candidates who possess the following:
- A minimum of 5 years' post-admission experience in advising on defendant insurance matters, particularly in personal injury and general liability.
- Experience or interest in defending historical abuse claims.
- Consideration will be given to candidates transitioning from a plaintiff background.
- Proficiency in managing files and navigating court proceedings.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong technical, analytical, and drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Effective organizational and prioritization skills.
