Public Liability Senior Associate Opportunity

Slater and Gordon Lawyers is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our national public liability personal injury space in Perth, WA.

We are open to discussions with candidates with limited to proven practicing experience, a general understanding of plaintiff law would be highly advantageous.

This is a truly autonomous role, with opportunity to grow and manage a team.

Our public liability lawyers assist clients for many injuries incurred that result because another party has breached their duty of care.

Some of the cases we handle include:

  • Slips and trips on public or private property
  • Unsafe premises (such as balconies, stairs or walking surfaces)
  • Dog or animal attacks
  • Physical assaults
  • Defective products (or services)
  • Sporting accidents (including recreational and adventure activities)
  • Injuries on private property including rental properties or health and fitness injuries (such as massage or personal training)

In addition to taking on a wide range of challenging legal matters, this role will also see you manage and strengthen existing community relationships along with initiating and building new networks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Instrumental in managing a Public Liability practice
  • Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business
  • Mentoring and managing more junior lawyers and staff within the Perth public liability practice
  • Maintaining strong client relationships
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
  • Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems expeditiously
