About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Henderson Healthcare. This role involves applying psychological principles to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with diverse mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate emotional, cognitive, and behavioural functioning.
- Develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions to address mental health concerns and enhance coping skills.
- Offer crisis intervention and support during acute psychological distress.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians for coordinated care.
- Monitor client progress, adjust treatment strategies as necessary, and evaluate outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices through professional development.
- Provide mental health education and consultation to clients, families, and community organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology
- Current applicable registration with AHPRA as a psychologist.
- Experience in psychological assessments, mental health diagnosis, and psychotherapy.
- Proficiency in therapeutic modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and cultural competence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical standards.
