Job Description
- To lead transformative change in the Australian healthcare system, we are seeking a Medical Affairs & Clinical Governance professional.
- This role involves providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across clinical operations and governance for our health insurance business, medical assessment of claims, and collaborative initiatives with private hospitals to develop and implement new models of care.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust clinical governance frameworks, policies, and practices ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation processes.
- This is a unique opportunity to influence national healthcare strategy, drive innovation, and improve outcomes for millions of Australians.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration.
- 5+ years of clinical experience working in a hospital environment.
- 5+ years' experience of corporate experience, including stakeholder management with government, hospitals, and professional bodies (preferably within the Health Insurance industry).
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams with a focus on coaching and development.
- Strong understanding of business operating models, organisation design, and budget oversight.
- Highly developed networking and stakeholder engagement skills, with political acumen.
