Leading Medical Scientist in Diagnostic Laboratory Services

We are seeking a skilled Medical Scientist to join our Haematology Laboratory at the Royal Children's Hospital.
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed term position offering an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in laboratory services.
- Perform routine and specialised Haematology and Transfusion diagnostic laboratory tests, including validation and reporting after appropriate training.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated and manual instrumentation and equipment within Haematology and Transfusion.
This role is ideal for those with Grade 1 Medical Scientist experience looking to enhance their skills and knowledge in laboratory services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including:
- Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Validation and reporting of laboratory tests.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Strong technical skills in Haematology and Transfusion laboratory services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
