The role of the Child Protection Specialist Leader is pivotal in safeguarding children and young individuals from sexual exploitation.
This critical position necessitates providing expert guidance and leadership to support Child Protection Practitioners and key partners in developing effective strategies to prevent child sexual exploitation.
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are essential, as transportation of children is a requirement. Additional hours may be required to ensure the well-being of children.
Key Responsibilities- Risk assessment and analysis: provide advisory services to stakeholders and community partners on risk assessments and strategic planning.
- Case planning review and case management: direct support is provided for cases with high-risk scenarios.
- Critical inquiry: lead the review, planning, and management of complex issues aligned with best practice principles and legislative requirements.
- Understanding of Aboriginal culture and its implications.
- Familiarity with legislation, policies, and practices related to Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work permit/visa.
