About Our Team

We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Detainee Services Officer. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, dignity, and security of detainees in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level support to detainees, including daily living activities and administration tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that promote the well-being and rehabilitation of detainees.

  • Flexibility in relation to your availability to work as directed undertaking a variety of shifts, rotational shift patterns, and hours as required by the centre.
  • Sound level of computer literacy.
  • Maintenance of a strong desire for learning and your own development.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a relevant qualification or experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the needs of people from different ethnic, cultural, and lifestyle backgrounds.
  • Have a high level of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Be willing to undergo a thorough probity assessment, which includes a Federal police check as an essential selection component for this role.
