Production Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Production Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will play a vital role in expanding capacity and enhancing capabilities to meet growing demand.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our Production team to refine and optimize production processes, work instructions, and assembly methods to improve efficiency and quality. This includes overseeing production line layout, identifying and addressing bottlenecks to maximize workflow and throughput.

In addition, you will maintain and refine existing jigs, rigs, tools, and testing equipment, collaborating with the NPI team on the development of new tooling as required. You will also support pilot builds and manufacturing documentation, training production staff ahead of full-scale release.

As a Production Process Improvement Specialist, you will provide rapid engineering support to production technicians, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. You will lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring issues.

Furthermore, you will drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives within the production area. You will train and mentor production staff in new tools, processes, and assembly techniques.

To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent). You must have proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role, preferably in electromechanical products, complex products assembly or defense/aerospace manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of assembly processes and production testing equipment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and 3D printing (e.g., SolidWorks) for jig and fixture design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
